Decent little spring storm on our doorstep - Tuesday looks pretty wet and breezy! Showers overnight, before the bulk of the rain arrives in the morning hours...should be pretty steady throughout the day, into the evening as well. Looking at nearly an inch of rain by midnight Tuesday night / Wednesday morning! The only wrinkle is if/where a rain shadow sets up...indications are that it'll be to our north, more affecting Snohomish County / southern Whidbey Island, but it could shift a little further south.
As for winds...they'll come from the south, and peak gusts in the upper-30mph range in the late afternoon / evening timeframe. Normally that's not too big of a deal - but with all the new growth on trees, there's a higher likelihood of downed branches.
It's gonna be chillier the next few days than we've had recently too - daytime highs will only get to the upper-40s Tuesday...but once the wind clears out overnight into Wednesday, temps will quickly drop 10+ degrees into the upper-30s. Temps remain cooler than normal Wednesday, in the mid- to upper-40s, but should recover a bit later in the week.
Showers continue Wednesday, with an outside chance of a thunderstorm. Another cold night into Thursday, but we should dry out and start to warm up into the weeekknd!
