Our first fall storm train is on track for the next week, starting today!
We’ll start off with a system that’s already approaching the coast. Showers will pick up around the Plateau this afternoon (Saturday), ahead of heavier rain this evening and overnight. Showers stick around throughout the day tomorrow (Sunday) - some might be on the heavier side, and there is an outside chance of a thunderstorm. Looking between 1/2” and 3/4” of rain by Monday morning. It’ll be on the breezy side too - and since trees still have most of of their leaves, it could be a little more impactful than later in the season, in terms of broken branches and isolated power outages.
A brief break Monday and Tuesday, with partly sunny skies and afternoon highs near 60! Another weak system moves through Wednesday, but only a tenth or two of rain out of that one.
A more impactful storm takes aim at the PNW late week and next weekend - there’s still plenty of uncertainty in the forecast as to timing and intensity, but wet and windy looks like a pretty good bet…but that’s fall for you!
