Happy Thanksgiving Week! The forecast for this week includes chances of scattered naps, potential for boring football, and a high likelihood of leftovers. Oh, and the weather will be quite wet.
A couple systems head our way over the next several days - one Tuesday midday thru early Wednesday, then another one Wednesday night thru Thursday. Each will bring a good shot of rain to the area…somewhere between a half and three-quarters of an inch from Tuesday to Wednesday morning, and around an additional inch by Friday morning. Aside from the brief break during the day Wednesday, plan for pretty steady rain. I know it’s kinda taboo around here, but an umbrella might actually be acceptable - to keep the food dry, of course!
If you’re traveling over the passes, keep a close eye on the WSDOT pages for conditions. Midday Wednesday looks like it’ll be your best bet at this point…Tuesday's system will be much colder, with snow levels below pass-levels - meaning even Snoqualmie will get several inches of snow. As the system exits Wednesday, the freezing levels will rise to well above pass-levels, making travel much easier.
