If you’re getting tired of the boring weather (along with the barrage of “Cyber Week” emails 🙄), do I have good news for you - things are about to get active again! A handful of storms are taking aim at the PNW…the National Weather Service is calling it “a parade of weather systems”, though they aren’t as festive or as pretty as other parades.
The first system moves in tomorrow (Thursday) morning, pretty steadily throughout the day. Around a half-inch by tomorrow night is possible. Friday looks pretty showery (and a tad breezy), before additional systems move thru over the weekend, keeping things pretty wet. And, you guessed it, things stay wet into next week too.
Bottom line, it’s going to be very wet over the next week or so. A few systems will be breezy, but otherwise the main concern is flooding, especially into next week as we pile on the rain totals. While area rivers and streams may crest their banks, the biggest threat to the Plateau is urban flooding - a result of storm drains getting clogged with leaves, or just plain unable to handle the amount of water getting dumped into them.
