Thursday morning update: A slight chance of thunderstorms late this evening across Western Washington...honestly not expecting much activity, aside from some overnight showers - though the rain could be heavier at times, and can't rule out a few lightning strikes. If things changes as the afternoon and evening goes on, I'll keep you posted! Until then, it'll be a pretty gorgeous day - afternoon highs near 80ยบ! Clouds will start to build later this afternoon into the evening, but we'll stay mostly sunny until then.
Normally I wouldn't make a big deal about these types of storm setups, aside from a quick mention - but it does look like it might meet "severe storm" criteria in Eastern Washington and Oregon this afternoon and this evening. If you've got friends or family over there, make sure they're aware - main threats looks to be strong winds and decent-sized hail!
Tomorrow (Friday) still looks cool and showery, though no thunderstorm chances. We'll start to bounce back thru the weekend - partly sunny and low- to mid-60s by Saturday, partly- to mostly-sunny and mid- to upper-60s on Sunday.
