Tuesday night update: Looks like we did make it to the mid-90s around the Plateau! Air quality, however, has gotten a tad worse…right on the upper limit of the “acceptable” range, before entering the “unhealthy for sensitive groups” category. Good news is, some improvement is forecast for overnight - we can sure hope!
One last hot day tomorrow (Wednesday) - and if the smoke improves, and the clouds stay away, we’ll have a better chance at those “as high as” temps of mid- to upper-90s…though with some mugginess still around. Tomorrow night into Thursday morning, nature’s air conditioning kicks in - winds from the west will bring cooler marine air, cooling us down into the low-80s Thursday…that’s still an improvement! Though along with it comes the chance of overnight/early-morning thunderstorms, very similar to a week ago. They’ll be hit-or-miss though, so we’ll need to wait and see how things develop.
