Monday mid-day update: the National Weather Service has issued an Air Quality Alert from noon today thru 5pm Wednesday, covering King, Kitsap, Pierce, Snohomish, and Thurston Counties. They're highlighting the fact that air quality is expected to degrade during the day today for the next few days - specifically that it will most likely reach the "Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups" category.
Winds are mainly coming from the north right now, which is helping keep our air relatively clean - for now! Seems like we'll stay kinda like this for the rest of the day, before degrading tomorrow. I think I do smell a faint whiff of smoke when I'm outside, but maybe that's just my brain making things up 😅
Semi-related: I'm thinking about posting more images and graphics over the next week...would that be something you'd find helpful? Anything specific you'd want to see - or conversely, you don't want to see? I don't want to cause any confusion, and I'll include plenty of context with them - I've historically just posted occasional radar or satellite images. Might lead to posting on Instagram too!
