Everyone has their “summer is quickly coming to a close” moment. For some, it’s the arrival of Pumpkin Spice Lattes, the leaves starting to turn, or the first week of school…for me, it’s the Little League World Series championship weekend, and the first “fall-like” weather pattern - this weekend, I apparently get both 🫣
It’s definitely going to feel more like fall than summer - afternoon highs tomorrow (Saturday) only in the upper-60s…hopefully a bit of a rebound Sunday, maybe inching towards the low-70s - but certainly cooler than we’ve had recently!
There’s also a good chance of some rain - they’ll be the showery kind though, not a steady rain over several hours. Pop-up showers are possible overnight tonight (Friday) into tomorrow (Saturday)…but as the day goes on, more organized showers as part of a convergence zone could roam around the area. Could even be a lightning strike or two as part of it. As for amounts: If we don’t get many showers, I’d expect as little as a light wetting of the pavement…if we get more steady or heavier showers, it could be a few tenths of an inch by Saturday evening. Best guess, somewhere in the middle. Sunday looks drier though, and we should at least start the week off on a drier note!
